In Persian mythology, a demon or three-headed, six-eyed dragon-like being and is one of the subordinates of Angra Mainyu (the Ultimate Evil). He was made to oppose goodness and truth. Dahaka is literally made from animals such as snakes, toads, scorpions, frogs and lizards, and symbolized corruption. It is said that Dahaka had a thousand senses and could bleed snakes, scorpions, and other venomous creatures. He could control storms and bring disease, and his wings were large enough to block out the sun. Sometimes referred to as a snake-being. Dahaka could be classified either as a hydra or a dragon being.
